Description
This Rios of Mercedes Raiz Waxy Kudu is a Little Joe’s Boots store exclusive, a design our team developed with Rios of Mercedes, working through leather, color, and toe and heel options until it was right. It was designed in-house by Jim “The Gem” Phillips, part of the same store-exclusive program that’s been part of Little Joe’s Boots for more than 70 years.
The waxy kudu roughout vamp and matching 13″ top give this boot a textured, worn-in look from day one without sacrificing the durability kudu leather is known for. It’s built on a TK toe with a 1-5/8″ heel and an Oxbow sole, handmade in Mercedes, Texas by Rios of Mercedes.
Because it’s a store exclusive, you won’t find this exact combination anywhere else. Available in sizes 8–13, widths D and EE.
Boot Care
Roughout and waxy leathers need less polishing than smooth leather, but still benefit from regular brushing and a conditioner made for waxy finishes, avoid saddle soap, which can strip the wax coating. Full guide: Cowboy Boot Care Guide.
